update
I know I'm awesome at blogging.. updating all the time and all that!..
So time is flying by, soon I have been here for three months. I'm now going to reveal one sad thing about Korean culture.
They do not see Christmas as a very special holiday, they do not celebrate it particular much..
Here it is actually seen more as a couple holiday than a family tradition holiday, I find that a bit sad but it is certainly not going to stop me from having a super duper cozy Christmas.
One funny thing I was told is that koreans use to say that if you don't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend on Christmas eve it's better to sleep through the whole day for not to be miserable. If you go outside you will probably be surrounded by couples everywhere! 😂
So at this moment I'm making a Christmas sock to hang on the door on the evening of 23rd December (In Sweden at least, not sure about other European countries, we celebrate Christmas on 24th December!).
Not that I actually have to make one on my own, I saw some Christmas socks and santa hats in a dollar shop (I think some families here with small kids celebrate it the "normal" way haha).
But I like creating things so I decided to make one.
I will buy a gingerbread house from Ikea and advent candles too. I will also try to make glögg which is a hot drink made of wine and herbs, taste so amazing!
I couldn't find a good version of Donald ducks Christmas greeting but I will keep looking and survive on what I find.
I hope people are starting to look forward to the Christmas 2015 and don't feel stress about making and buying everything. There's no need for that, make it all slowly and enjoy the best holiday of the year♡
This is from the big mall in the area I live in!
Drank julmust in Ikea (I will load up with this before Christmas!)
